Maria, Happy new year.  We are home after three glorious and wonderful weeks in South America and I wanted to thank you for making the arrangements for the Patagonia part of our trip.  Apart from a two-hour delay with the flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires, everything went very smoothly (although I wouldn’t fly Austral again unless there was no other alternative).  We very much enjoyed our time in Torres del Paine and at the Explora lodge and the cruise on Mare Australis was very special.  Los Notros was a disappointment for several reasons (both the facility itself and the very limited number of activities available), athough we loved the glacier and seeing it up close was very special; given this to do again we would stay in El Calafate (and probably spend one day less in El Calafate).  That said, however, we enjoyed the trip very much and were very happy to have done it.

I hope your holidays were wonderful and that your transition into 2010 was effortless and fun.  Wishing you all the best and much health and happiness in the new year.  Thanks again.  best,
